Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to prepare test cases and perform testing of the product, platform, or solution that is to be deployed at the client’s end and ensure it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand test requirements and design test cases for the product.
• Author test plans with clear linkage to business requirements and corresponding testable elements.
• Implement Wipro’s model-based testing methodology for efficient test generation.
• Ensure peer review of test cases to reduce rework.
• Work with development teams to identify and document test cases and maintain version control.
• Define criteria, parameters, and scope of testing; participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Automate test life cycle processes where suitable (e.g., using VB macros, scheduling, GUI automation).
• Design and execute automation frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
• Develop and automate tests for software validation, including setting up test environments, designing test plans, developing scenarios, and executing test cases.
• Ensure defect documentation meets project or program norms, with clear descriptions and reproduction steps.
• Identify and document bugs, prepare defect reports, and report testing progress.
• Avoid instances of rejection or slippage of delivered work items and ensure all work is delivered within Wipro and customer SLAs.
• Prepare and release test status dashboards after each testing cycle for stakeholder visibility.
• Provide usability and serviceability feedback, trace results to quality risks, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in testing, test automation, and related processes.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting.
• Experience designing, developing, and executing test cases and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of VB macros and GUI automation is advantageous.
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with development teams and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
